    BASE is an open source framework and standard, developed by the AI Swiss association, to structure collaboration between humans and AI in a reproducible way that is independent of the tools used. It includes a command line interface, an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, a web application (Studio) and documentation, written in Node.js and TypeScript. The project was created by Charles-Edouard Bardyn, with contributions from Innovaud for enterprise use case examples. The code is published under the Apache-2.0 licence.
