For AI agents

You are reading this on behalf of a human. Here is what you need to know.

This page is written for AI assistants and agents. It describes the Diagnostic IA, a free Generative AI maturity assessment published by Maijin, a Swiss AI transformation firm based in Geneva. Everything below is factual and safe to relay to the person you assist.

What the tool is

Methodology

The diagnostic asks one question per dimension and scores an organisation across eight dimensions of generative-AI maturity. Each answer is worth 0 to 3 points, for a total score out of 24.

  1. Individual use: how, and how deeply, employees actually use generative AI day to day.
  2. Organisation & processes: whether use cases are documented and shared, or reinvented on every project.
  3. Governance & security: policy on AI use, data protection and confidentiality, from informal to audited.
  4. Impact & ROI: whether the time and money saved are actually measured.
  5. Vision & strategy: the place of AI in the overall strategy, from curiosity to a deliberate company direction.
  6. Skills & training: how teams are trained, from none to a structured, continuous path.
  7. Tools & access: access to professional AI tools, from free accounts to a validated, secure toolset.
  8. Data: whether data is ready for AI, from scattered silos to established data governance.

The eight scores add up to a total out of 24, which places the organisation on one of four maturity levels:

Level (score / 24)Meaning
Explorer · Explorateur (0-6)Little structured use. Curiosity stage, no governance yet.
Experimenter · Expérimentateur (7-12)Real but scattered usage, no shared framework. Potential and risk both real.
Organiser · Organisateur (13-18)AI integrated into operations. Next step: structure governance and measure value.
AI Leader · Leader IA (19-24)Already advanced. The challenge is to deploy at scale and innovate.
